Become a Resident

IMG_8975The Birchwood House is a home, not a facility, so you feel at home when friends or family members come to visit. Often we see significant improvement in the overall physical and emotional well-being of our residents after only a couple weeks of living at the house.

One of the biggest benefits at the Birchwood House is that our client to caregiver ratio is one caregiver per four clients. Fall prevention is also one of our highest priorities and with our high caregiver ratio, each resident receives significantly more attention than in an Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing facility.

Steps to becoming a Birchwood House resident:

  1. Schedule a date and time to come and tour or visit the Birchwood House.
  2. Review your current living situation and determine what home care services the Birchwood House can offer.
  3. Meet with the Birchwood House Manager who is a registered nurse to discuss your level of care needs.
  4. Review affordable payment or funding options to pay for your healthcare service needs.
  5. Discuss admission documents, including move-in checklist and schedule your move-in.
